ARAGON GIRLS’ SOCCER — CCS CHAMPIONS

4 03 2012

Congratulations are in effect to the Aragon girls’ soccer team for taking a piece of the the Central Coast Section Division II title. They tied Archbishop Mitty 2-2. Or more appropriately, Mitty tied THEM. It’s one of the craziest games I’ve ever seen — just based solely on the last 10 minutes of the overtime frame. Anyways, they’ll be a story on this later. But for now, courtesy of one of our interns, Kore Chan (go to his website, Korechanphotography.com) some photos.

Fantastic season by the ladies of Aragon. On a side note, one of many, Menlo girls’ soccer won the Division III title. Congratulations to the Knights on their FIRST out-right, CCS title.

Really great article. Thanks for reporting on the magic that made the Aragon Dons soccer team this last three years so special. Mitty was the greatest high school team I have ever personally watched (including watching Carlmont this year) and I could not be more impressed to see the Dons hold their own against the #5 team in the USA. Both sides played inspired, terrific soccer. A game for the ages, no doubt. My daughter, sadly, graduates this year but has a great career with the Dons to look back on the rest of her playing years. Anyway, thanks for always keeping the Lady Dons on the radar screen at the SM Journal and your personal sports blog.
